Circadian Article Summary

Template= a guideline to how you can answer each dataset which can help you generate paragraphs for each data in the row Disclaimer: sometimes a dataset can have more than one question so its important for you to read the article and also the order that I have it in and some questions are given is how the paper presents the results in that order

The rules to writing each subject title: Introduction, results and discussion

Introduction

You start with the broad topic and end with the experimental question. Therefore the what’s known you need to read the article introduction except the last paragraph. The what’s known is the background information before the study. However, the rest like broad/specific topic is given as well as the experimental question on the template.

Results

Using the template, each row equivalent to a paragraph of results. First like for example, figure 1 the question(s) being asked you turn that into a statement. Next, you address why the question(s) being asked! Then you address how the question is being answered which is the technique. Then you put the results which is the answers in each part whether its in context or what’s written at the bottom of the display. For example figure 1 contains 1A-F which each part has a result so you write it down. Also, another thing to note make sure each part is answering a question because sometimes not all the parts have the same question which is important to read the article. The template would be easier for you write as you read and fill it out. Last but not least is the conclusion in which depending on the question you have can a simple yes or no or cause effect. For example yes or no question you answer yes or no it does… However for a more depth cause effect question you put yes; or no; it suggests that…due to focusing on the cause.

Discussion

The first half you address what the results means which if you read the article the discussion starts out discussing the major results and what they mean. The second half ou address the discussion in which you write the key points of the discussion which the rest of the paper after the results discussed.

The font should be 11 and times new Roman. Double space and the page should be one inch margin.

Also, as a side note if you find the results too much to write you can condense it by making a figure with many questions so how connect to each other even if they disconnect try to make that connection whether you pick up from conclusion or making all the questions into a general statement! As along as the paper has a flow you should be good!
