You are required to write a report investigating 3 of the following categories of disease. Bear in mind that when you discuss the categories of disease you must use the appropriate terminology.
The categories of disease to be investigated are;
• Degenerative Disease
• Nutritional Disorders
• Metabolic Disorder
You must then identify and explain one disease (from one of the above categories) and the link to 2 predisposing factors associated with this disease. These factors may include age, sex, inherited factors, lifestyle, physical and chemical damage, mental health, pre-existing illness or any other relevant pre-disposing factors.
Finally, you must describe;
• 2 processes used to diagnose the disease or condition.
• 2 treatment/management options (medication, lifestyle modification etc.).
