Description

The Global Practitioner

See attached module handbook. Assessment 2 on page 9, the assessment that i have selected is the 1000 word research report. The learning outcomes assessed are:

•Critically analyze competing perspectives on the debate of globalization – apply this to a related issue.

•Explore and demonstrate a knowledge of the interconnections between the ‘North’ and the ‘South’.

•Critically examine and apply knowledge from the module.

On page 11 of the module handbook under assessment 2 course work these are the instructions given:

Write a research report on an organization (domestic of international), dealing with an issue(s) which you are passionate about. In sum, you will be assessing the scope, scale and success of the work they do. The report needs to be 1,000 words long. Some of the aspects you need to think about include:

Clarity on the issue(s) being tackled by the organization

a. Identify how they are meeting the needs of the target group(s)

b. Look at how they are showing leadership and resilience

c. Are they sustainable? How would you assess their overall performance?

d. What do you identify as their qualities, values, vision, and change-making strategies?

e. Their reach and success stories?

f. What do you feel about their communication?

Many non-governmental organizations (NGO’s), voluntary & community organizations, charities and social enterprises play a crucial role to fill the gaps where government and local authorities have been unable to meet the needs and demands of the public. These services range from mental health organizations, gardening groups to non-governmental organizations (NGO’s) There is a wide range of services provided by such organizations locally, nationally and internationally.

Once you have identified an organization you will need to study their website thoroughly. For better analysis identify who and how they have collaborated with other agencies, organizations or government departments etc. and what are some of the issues they face in delivering their objectives.

On page 15 of the handbook is the marking criteria. I’m aiming to achieve 70-100, so if the specific marking criteria for that weighting can be met please.
