Mark and Liz have been married for seventeen years. Their 15-year-old son Michael has just announced to them that he is trans. They ask him, “Do you mean gay?” He shakes his head no and asserts he is trans and wants to explore transitioning to become a woman. The couple disagrees on whether or not they should let the extended family know about this, and are seeking information about trans persons and sexual identity from you.
