What do organizational culture facilitators believe are the underlying causes of workplace incivility?

 Purpose Statement

The purpose of this qualitative study is to explore international students’ experiences with challenges while studying in the USA. This study will examine English language learners that face many challenges, such as changes in education systems, learning English as a second language, limited learning environments, cultural barriers, and over dependence on teachers (Chodkiewicz & Boyle, 2017). The qualitative case study is appropriate for this research because it will enable the researcher to understand the complex phenomena relating to international students’ challenges. Using purposive sampling, the research interviews a sample of 12 international students from the target population of ELLs in the United States. In addition to the interview guide used to conduct interviews, a demographic questionnaire will be used to collect descriptive data on each participant.

The study will employ a range of data collection techniques, such as direct observations, semi-structured interviews. The data collected will be analyzed using content analysis which should enable the researcher to gain insights into the stories and narratives of real-life experiences of international students’ challenges in the USA. The study aims to contribute to the development of effective strategies guidance on how to handle the challenges faced by English language learners in the USA.
