Using your evaluation from assessment 1, and any additional research, you should identify the gaps in the current tourism offering for your selected destination; e.g. resource deficits, diverse market segments to attract, unused or misused resources, seasonality.

Prepare a written pitch that presents a critical assessment of how best to develop tourism in the area; ensuring the destination maintains its competitive advantage in relation to neighboring destinations.

Your pitch should address the areas of weakness and opportunity to provide a detailed strategy for how you would propose developing tourism in the area. For example, you could include; any additional resources that might be required, resources or assets that have the potential to be used, new target markets and types of tourism to be developed.

You must also provide a mind-map to evidence how you constructed your ideas; this mind-map is to be submitted as an Appendix to your report.
