Description
The portfolio paper covers the array of topics discussed and presented in the course, of Unit 7. You are to select a court decision issued within the last three years by the United States Supreme Court or any state Supreme Court which is related to any topic we studied during this course. At a minimum, your paper should address the following items:
Explain the particular legal issue(s) in detail, including the relevant facts, the applicable law and the court’s application of the law to the facts.
Research and discuss articles and other supplementary materials related to your topic.
Discuss a Christian worldview with respect to the issue(s) decided in the case. Compare and contrast how a Christian should deal with such a situation and support your discussion with specific scriptures.
In the body of your paper, paraphrase the scripture and cite the specific book, chapter and verse. Any scripture quotations longer than three lines in length should be placed in the scripture appendix at the end of your paper (see guidelines below).
The paper will be evaluated using the Unit Writing Assignments and Portfolio Paper rubric (Appendix A).
Prepare the Portfolio Paper using the following guidelines:
1,200 – 1,500 words using APA formatting, including title and reference pages
Include biblical foundations application (500 words)
Minimum of 5 scholarly references
