Description

PART 1: read all information below.

As a professional social worker you need to understand the basis of your practice or the framework which informs your practice. Throughout your social work studies, you have gained knowledge and understanding of theory, models, professional ethics and standards and practice skills. You will also have reflected on what you bring personally including your values, beliefs and strengths. You will also have considered policy and organisational contexts and how they influence social work practice. A practice framework draws these things together into a cohesive summary or picture.

As you move into the role of a beginning practitioner it is useful to have a way to understand and articulate your framework for practice. This framework is a starting point and will develop throughout your professional career.

As part of your final placement assessment prepare and submit a poster presentation of your practice framework. Your practice framework should be no more than 4 pages A4 size. 800 words

The topics and issues covered in your learning journal may be helpful in considering how the 6 framework topics are relevant to your practice.
