Find a news article that describes a police/citizen encounter. Now go to another news source and find an article that describes the same encounter. Give a synopsis of both articles and include the links. What can you, as a responsible citizen, do to ensure that you use correct information to judge a situation?

For example, the incident where Michael Brown was shot in Ferguson, Missouri was described differently by different news stations…basically there was the conservative view, the liberal view, and then the actual truth.

How large of a part do you think the media plays in efforts to improve police/citizen relations? What are some ways you have found to decipher truth amocgong all of the political commentary?
