The academic style is TURABIAN and includes pages and complete publishing information.
1. In the introduction, you should name the two passages: Lev 23 & Num 9, which are the subject of investigation and provide a concise overview of your discussion.
2. Each chosen passage should then receive a paragraph exploring:
a. its literary context: e.g., Lev 23 & Nums 9, what is going on in these books of Lev & Numbers in and around chapter 23 & Number 9? Include how do the two texts present the celebration of Passover? What are the differences between each passages’ presentation?
b. which aspects of Passover that these passages highlight.
3. In your final paragraph, draw a brief conclusion about how the differences give insight into what Passover is or can be “about.”
• The paper should deal directly with the biblical passage. Specific biblical citations should support ideas that you state about the text. These should be placed in parentheses in the body of the paper. Use chapter/verse references for biblical citations: e.g., Lev 23:2. There is no need to write out the whole verse or passage; just mention the word or phrase you are directly addressing.
(In writing the paper, you do not need to consult or cite secondary literature like commentaries. If you do, however, then any information you get from such reading should be appropriately footnoted. However, this paper is primarily interested in analysis).
