This can take any form that you like: cause/effect, problem/solution, argumentative, analytical (though no matter which you choose, your paper should provide analyses of the text through your examples). Please remember you MUST use the texts as your guide, and your essay MUST be an analysis that includes citations from the text–meaning you should have quotes from both the podcast and the novel, and these should be cited correctly.
You may choose another topic related to Lost Girls/LISK, but these must be approved ahead of time.
Feel free to think imaginatively and to construct your own, original ideas. The more interested you are in your topic, the better. Please DO NOT write papers that include a summary of the novel. For example,you should not be re-telling the story you read. Instead, you are focusing on an analysis/investigation, and doing research to support your claims/points of view. Papers that are strictly or mostly summaries of the text will not be graded. Likewise, papers that do not include citations from the primary or outside text or a Works Cited will not be graded. Remember that the main focus of your paper is Lost Girls/LISK; therefore, you should provide ample examples from the text (including citations) in order to support your thesis. It is imperative that you also use outside research to help reinforce your thesis. Therefore, your paper will include examples from the novel as well as a blend of relevant, reputable sources.
All topics must be instructor approved. Keep in mind that you will narrow your subject matter down so that you have a workable thesis ( a thesis that is not too general/broad)
Papers should be 6-7 FULL pages in length, not including Works Cited page.
Consider using at least 6 serious, outside sources. Wikipedia should not be used as a primary source. Be sure you are incorporating Lost Girls/LISK throughout the paper.
