Article Summary – Each student will write a summary (approximately 2-3 pages typed and double-spaced) of a recent journal article concerning some aspect of neuro-psychological functioning (i.e., content on both brain and behavior). A list of suggested topics and several pre-approved journal articles will be available on the course google drive (click on the above link). The Article Summary should include:
1. a brief description of the study objectives
2. the method(s) used in the study
3. the result(s) of the study
4. interpretation and conclusions presented and
5. your critique/critical analysis of the article
If the journal article is a review of other primary research, a description of the same above criteria should be provided for studies in the review and included in your summary. A copy of the journal article (including reference section)– please click on the former link and save the email address to your address book or contacts to ensure that you are submitting the article summary or other work to the correct email address. It is your responsibility to send work to the correct email address above and in the correct format, which is a Windows-OS, PC-file that is compatible with campus computers provided to faculty members. Failure to submit written (typed) work as a non-Macintosh, PC-compatible file (MS-Office or Adobe PDF) attachment, will not be accepted as an excuse for late or missing assignments.
