Describe and Analyse a companies product and its end to end Supply Chain

Pick a company and a product that they offer. An example would be Starbucks and the product being (Coffee).

-The essay should be split into two sections. First section should be 300-400 words which is describing the end to end supply chain that the product that you choose goes through, below explains both sections of the essay.

FIRST SECTION (300-400) words:

i) Describe its supply chain, going as far upstream as possible to raw materials. Where and how was it made? Where were its components/parts made? Where were the raw materials/resources sourced from? How long did this take? How many steps and movements?

SECOND SECTION (600-700) words:

The second section you will need to analyse and explain in depth ONE challenge the company faces within its supply chain and how they can overcome this challenge. This section should be around 600-700 words and needs to include Theory and a Supply chain analysis Tool eg. SWOT analysis ii) What are the key challenges in the planning and operations of this supply chain and how can they over come these challenges? (To answer this, pick the below questions relevant to your product consideration).

YOU CAN CHOOSE ANY ONE SPECIFIC CHALLENGES as shown below and carry out an in-depth analysis.

-What were the key issues in managing inventory, warehouse and distribution?

-How does the supply chain under consideration collaborate and manage their materials?

-Does the supply chain under consideration have any risk and sustainability issues?

-How does the supply chain under consideration measure performance?

-How does the supply chain under consideration leverage the usage of technology to compete with leading supply chains?

-Harvard referencing style, there needs to be at least 5+ academic sources! The rest can be articles etc. So in total at least 15 sources all together.
