The purpose of this exercise is to support / provide rationale for your community research project. This paper answers the question as to why your project is needed and what purpose it will serve. The points of the paper should align with the goals of your project.

At the same time, identify an organization that serves your population of interest and reach out to the leadership of that group, requesting the opportunity to conduct your project. Include the name of the organization, contact individual and phone number or email at the end of the paper so that the instructor can contact the person on your behalf.
